Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Hmmm, strange, and could, again, simply be due to Placebo, but I've been flying a few missions in the K4, against p51ds ( one imported from the Dora - that very enjoyable Furbal mission that came with the Dora ... ) and where I previously was breaking my wings apart rather easily, I now can perfectly maneuver... sometimes expecting for it to break the next second... but NADA! I guess something changed regarding that "wing tip weakness" ? Flight Simulation is the Virtual Materialization of a Dream...
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014  i know how you feel.im in the same boat.maybe its really placebo, maybe they changed something...but if they did, then i really cannot see why they didnt find it necessary to give us notice in the changelog.
Anatoli-Kagari9 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 (edited) Yes David, and yet two other diferences... In the Beta release someone pointed me to the new available file where we can edit the airleron trim tab deflection like we did for the Fw190 D9. Went there, changed it ( in the Beta DCS ) and went flying without noticing any effect. In the public version I updated to yesterday when I started DCS, the Bf109 looks now a lot more in perfect equilibrium regarding the right rolling tendencies at cruise... Perhaps the values in that LUA file are now finally being computed ? And... there is yet another difference, IMO, although I have to test further... It concerns takeoff pitching up tendendcy of the initial release, and how it now behaves.... In the original release, and even after the patch where a "heavy nose" effect was added for gear down ( welcomed update BTW ! ), there was still that weird tendency of the K4 to pitch up on takeoff, forcing a good deal of forward stick, which looked rather unnatural to me... Well, I have to give it another go, but apparently it now does not pitch up the way it did ? Placebo ? There's something in common to my two preferred flight simulators - DCS and il-2 BoS - their Dev teams sometimes like to give us great gifts, but it's Surprise !!!!! :-) In il-2 BoS, there were those awful problems with wobbling due to pitch and yaw inputs, specially affecting aircraft with a stabilator like the Bfs and the Fw, all users were long complaining about... After the last two flash updates, il-2 BoS flight Dynamics changed 180º in this area, it is simply Superb now!!!, but nothing is listed in the updates / fixes list... msalama Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 ...to give us notice in the changelog. I think this is because betas always suffer from some back-and-forth until (hopefully) stabilizing later. Just my $000.2 though ;) The DCS Mi-8MTV2. The best aviational BBW experience you could ever dream of.
9.JG27 DavidRed Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 ^^well the devs often already didnt mention some obvious and also important or also very welcome changes in their changelogs in the past.or announced them in the changelogs, while it wasnt included in the patch at all....see windshield damage of the 190 for example...btw, thats a really nice effect, and all ww2 planes should have that for the sake of consistency.
