sackman Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Flying in Instant Action, Ground attack mission..the altimeter reads about 7000 feet...is this correct?...If I fly at almost at ground level the gauge reads over 2000 feet...what am I missing here? Also, does the Look Back view work in P51? ..it actually points to the left front engine exhaust area for me.
Echo38 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I don't know where it's set to on instant action (possibly sea level, as Tuco suggested), but when you get into the airplane on the ground, you should set your altimeter to the altitude of the airfield you're taking off from. You should also know what altitude above sea level this is, and the altitude-above-sea-level of the airfield you are planning on landing at (if you are not going to land at the same airfield you took off from).

If you're going for QFE. It would be nice if we could get altimeter settings in QNH, in order to use instrument plates correctly in game. i9 12900k @ 4.9ghz, 64gb RAM Nvidia RTX 3090 Windows 11 x64 Pimax Crystal VP Force Rhino w/RS F16GRH, Virpil TCS Rotor Plus AH-64 Collective, BRD F1 Pedals, WH Throttle, FSSB R3 w/WH Grip, PointCTRL v2
