Hunkey Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Hi Fellas, hope you can help - the situation spans from every jet with Dogfight capability: I fly head on with the enemy, locked on, getting closer and when it comes to Launch Authorization i press the "Weapon Release" button and then....... 3 possible things happen: 1. The Missile will not Fire, no matter how long i keep the release button pressed or pushing it over and over again. 2. The Missile will fire after holding the button for 5 to 10 seconds. (both above mentioned scenarios often lead to the following: Enemy gains contact, engages, successfully launches missile and destroys me.( and finally 3. The Missile will fire instantly pursuing the target. Sometimes its like Roulette - one of the 3 things happens randomly... So the question is: Is this normal? Am i missing something crucial here? Flagrum Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Sounds as if the button on your joystick has some issues. Did you check it with the windows control panel that it is working reliably?

Check your buttons presses in Windows, and also USB connectors are firm and fully home. Also try mapping your launch button to a different joystick button and see if you have the same problem. Do you have this problem if you launch using a keyboard command?
