Suhoj27 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) Hi First I would like to thank the developers for the continuing development and improvement of DCS and its aircraft features. Really, hats off. It's too easy to find mistakes or to complain too much about some issues, when the whole product is so complex. Personally I found the added feature in the Russian planes of switching the MFD from being a HUD repetitor to a tactical display (more or less) a very realistic addition, which I think that the "Russian plane" lovers missed. One more feature that you could possibly address in the future is the operation of the RWR in general. Once I opened a thread about this topic and I still think it would be very welcomed to work in this area. To make it short: The RWR (real pilots accounts) works by measuring the signal strength emitted from another plane. Based on the memory of the RWR plus the signal strength, the RWR warns you about the possible impending missile launch towards you. It doesn't matter if the missile was really launched or not, once the opponent is close enough and have a "lock on" on you, your RWR will trigger the missile launch warning. First a steady lock on warning, like it is modelled already then, when the emitted signal is strong enough, the MLW (missile launch warning). So, even a plane without missile can "scary" an adversary. This feature would be a cherry on the cake, nevertheless thanks anyway for all what you've done till now. Well done. Just keep in mind this RWR issue. It's an uncharted area, as far as I know, no other FLIGH SIM ever implemented it. Keep up with the great job. Thanks. Edited January 11, 2015 by Suhoj27
