xaoslaad Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Has something changed in a (fairly) recent update to make takeoff and landing of the Fw 109, Bf 109, and P-51 easier? I double checked and I definitely do not have any takeoff assistance or auto rudder on for anything. That said I find aircraft a lot less prone to wandering all over the runway, less bounce in landings, and in general just everything to do with leaving and getting reacquainted with the ground easier. I am curious if my technique is better (which seems unlikely given my lack of practice) or if the dynamics have been changed?
ED Team Yo-Yo Posted January 22, 2015 ED Team Posted January 22, 2015 No changes were performed for the DCS planes. It's only your skill. Its probably because your actually getting better lol, ive only flown the Dora for the longest time now and I'm steadily noticing I'm landing on two wheels and I'm staying on one side of the runway when I'm taking off. So kudos to you for getting better, practice makes perfect. Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. fastfreddie Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Did the tail wheel landing bug for the Dora get fixed Yo-Yo? I haven't seen it in awhile and haven't had trouble landing in the last couple of updates ... couldn't figure out if it was that or the flaps got more lift.
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 What was the reported bug? I haven't noticed any issues when i land and taxi to a parking spot. I don't know if it was reported but I figured it was since it was pretty common and had been around for quite awhile. Sometimes the tailwheel would go underground and you would hear the dragging sound. At times it would break the tail but others you could hit the throttle then the brakes to make the tail lift off the ground and your tail wheel would be still attached ... popping out of the ground.
