Question On learning to Fly the F-15

I have flown some IRL but want to just learn to fly the F-15 before I jumped into the missions.

 

If I have this right I can just create a mission with no allies and no enemy resources and just fly.

 

I can just try what I said but just looking for confirmation or an easier route to just learn the flight characteristics and do some familiarization flying.

Yes. Creating your own missions will do exactly what you want.

 

EDIT: That is exactly what I do with every new aircraft.
