mel64 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hi to everybody just discovered DCS which looks amazing. I am however having a problem as when I download anything Windows says it cannot open the file.Anybody able to help?
WildBillKelsoe Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 you should download DCS World first here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/ then run the file making sure all parts are in the same folder (better to do it by torrent) there should be 6 files in the torrent folder. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Then start the EXE file by double clicking its icon. ... is that what you tried and what did not work for you?
mel64 Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks to you both. I was trying to extract each bin file instead of as yoy say downloading all six into the same folder and running exe. Have done this now and it has worked. Thanks again.
