solidusbucket Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I have recently discovered that I can eliminate the use of my keyboard while in flight and only use the mouse and my joystick to control everything I need. My mouse only has three buttons, but I want to get one with 4 or 5 so I can further customize my modifier keys. I would also like a joystick with 2 or 3 hats instead of one. This way, I do not need track IR and can keep my head on a swivel. I was wondering how complicated the other planes are and if I could look forward to continuing this trend as I purchase more modules. I discovered this because I was considering track IR but I do not feel that it would A) work for my monitor/seat set-up, and B) fit my tastes
Exorcet Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The Su-27 is the second simplest plane to fly, behind the F-15 (which automates trim). The WWII planes are fairly simple, but might require you to press a few more buttons than the FC3 depending on what you're doing. The more modern high fidelity planes can get a lot more complicated. The MiG-21 is complex because there are many switches and they aren't necessarily laid out in the most intuitive manner. The A-10C requires the most buttons by far and can strain mid-level flight sticks.
