zepplin1 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Hey guys I recently just set up track ir. And I was testing out in all of my aircraft until I came to the saber. I seem to have a problem where only in the saber, the trackir reset position is facing down at the seat. So basically i have to move my head just about off the screen in order to have the ingame head centered. I tried pausing the trackir and the unpausing when i had my head set but no luck. I also tried using my hotas view keybinds to see if i could move it. Not luck. I can't figure out for the life of me why its happening g. Love the aircraft just want to fly it haha. EDIT: probably should have put this in the bugs sub forum. sorry! Edited February 14, 2015 by zepplin1
PiedDroit Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 In TrackIR window choose "camera view" and check if the reflectors are seen clearly and if there is not parasite light seen by the sensor. Also, before starting the game, check that your "recenter TrackIR" key binding is working properly (you can display a "virtual head" in the TrackIR window). Note that the center view from DCS won't work, you have to setup this in TrackIR application. Usually your TrackIR "virtual head" is off-center when starting it, in that case you have to recenter it while looking straight ahead. Also when playing, your view might come off-center (due to lots of movements), so having your TrackIR recenter key easily available is a good idea
zepplin1 Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 yes all of that is set basically the f86 is the only aircraft that doest work. I load into the game and the view starts facing down even if my trackir is off. its like as if the defualt pilots view is set to look down at the seat.
Blooze Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Try this, first go to DCS Options/Misc and be sure "User snap view saving" is checked. Then open a mission, press the F1 key and adjust the view and pause track IR when it's right. Then press RALT+NUMPAD-0 to save it. Edited February 14, 2015 by Blooze [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Did exactly what you said and even when i have trackir paused and hit the "5" key on the number pad to center, the view snaps back to the lower right corner of the pilots seat. so the save doesnt seem to work. Blooze Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 OK try this, go to your Saved games/DCS/Config folder and if you see a VIEW folder, delete it. Then open a mission. If that doesn't apply or doesn't fix it go to Saved games/DCS/Config/Input and back up the F-86 folder, then delete it and try again. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

PiedDroit Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Probably a default view that was messed up, everytime you would center it would default to it. IIRC there is a key combination that allows you to save your own custom views, if you hit it by mistake you may end up in this situation (it happened to me, my default view was slightly offset to the left that was driving me crazy). Nice find
