Nysrog Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I don't know if this is the right place to write about this, but I have failed to understand how to do the CCRP bombing training. When I near the red smoke i'm not quite sure on when to activate the diamond/lock thing and when to let go. I am also not an english native speaker so I do not understand completely what he is saying there. May someone assist me?
Arcto10 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Hey, Welcome to the forum! It has been a while since I have done that training but from my memory you lock and hold the release button very early and keep holding it until you hear the weapon release (or pickle as it is known). Someone who flies more SU25 will come along shortly and better explain to you (I mainly fly A10 and F15). THis video has text in the description that might help "Center the target location in the center of the CCRP reticle and hold the weapons release. Continue to hold weapons release until you pass over the target and the weapon will release automatically."
Case Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Here's an old tutorial that should still apply. There are only 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
Nysrog Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Hey! Thank you for all the replies! I figured it out, main problems being that I mistook ahead ass in behind the target, and after I locked the position I weren't holding it down all the way, instead I stopped holding at the very end. Still, huge thank you's for super fast replies! One more question: Should I get a HOTAS? I'm very tempted to buy one right now, as with the hype to this game. I'm slowly but steadily learning the game.
Arcto10 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Yes. If you do not want to spend too much I would recommend the X52 Pro. I have had one for 4 years, no issues. I would also recommend TrackIR 5 or one of the freeware version, like facetracknoIR.
