Despite it all being primarily JJ's work, he's not actually responsible for that one - I'm eagerly awaiting the day when he assembles his mods properly because I think it'll be a bit more complete than this, but that hasn't happened yet.

IIRC JJ's working on a new version of the MiG29K mod which will be based around the shiny new MiG29 model, and so look much better even if it doesn't technically have the correct airframe . . . . . and there's a new version of the Merzifon mod in development as well.

So there's something new coming. Eventually.

Oops, forgot to answer the question . . . . .

I made the mod for v1.12, not for v1.12a. So it should technically be compatible, but I'm afraid you may have some problems with track playback.

Hi Guys,

I think I will pospone a new version of my MiG-29K mod until Black Shark is released.....let's just say that it will be more interesting ;) .

Cheers,

LOL - now I'm really excited! Brit - as I don't record tracks, where can I find your version to hold me over until JJ's mod comes out?

let's hope what he knows is that they want to make Tailhooks ready on the Naval Planes using Standard FM

:)

Since I have your attention JJ and Brit - let me ask this:

With the Super Mod - I am trying to copy the Su-25UTG and the MiG-29K over to the UKR side but unlike other planes, they don't have the correct national markings (this works with the Su-33).

Can one of you help please?

I'm trying to create a factitious limited engagement war using LMR b/w UKR and RUS over UKR ceasing the Black Sea Fleet when docked at Sevastopol. This divides the world as US comes to Ukraine aid but France and Spain side with Russia.

Hi,

For Britglider's Su-25UTG mod, you will need an additional skin assigned to Ukraine since the Su-25TM model(which is used for the mod) doesn't have any seperate texture files for national markings - they are painted directly on the skins.

For the MiG-29K I edited the 3D model(from Flanker 2.5) to use seperate custom named textures in order to be able to fiddle with the numbering sequence without affecting any other aircraft using that same texture. However, although I renamed the reference in the 3D model for the texture that gave the MiG-29K ukrainian markings in Flanker 2.5, I didn't modify and include it in the mod....and that texture is actually present in one of the Lock-on's CDDS'es.

So, just for you, I changed the texture reference back to the original one in the 3D model. So all you need to do is to replace MiG-29K.cmd in the mod with the one I have attached to this post.....then you should get Ukrainian markings on the MiG-29K when assigning the aircraft to the Ukrainian side :)

Cheers,

- JJ.
