Hello, I just recently revamped my standalone DCS world, and I want to copy over all of my settings from DCS World Steam? Is there a way to do this and how would I do this?

I want to copy over my Controls, Sound, Module Setup Configs, and Graphics Settings as well as my General settings too... Thanks!

The Steam and non-Steam version should be using the same Saved Games folder, so it should already use the same settings, though you might have to import the controls settings.

The Steam version is Beta, and it does share the files with the DCS World Standalone non beta, but the standalone beta does not share those same files. Is there a way to fix that?

The standalone beta files could be copied to the standard Saved Games\DCS folder. The content is identical.

I guess you could also point your standard install to the Open Beta Saved Games folder. You do that with a file, in the main DCS folder, called 'dcs_variant.txt'. The contents of that file are are appended to 'DCS.' to create a unique DCS Saved Games folder. If you look in your Open Beta install you can examine the file, and even copy it to your non-beta install.

When DCS starts, if that file exists, then DCS will use the Saved Games folder defined by the file, or create the folder, if it does not exist.
