manster Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Ok, I´m new to these forums but was wondering something.....I really enjoy lockon and flaming cliffs, but I always tend to wish you could use all the switches, gauges and buttons in the cockpit, to fully take advantage of the aircrafts potential. As of now, it´s fun to play but sometimes you really feel flying the aircrafts could be more challenging by implementing all or as many functions as possible, even thoose that may seem a unecessary. So basically what´s the obstacles of making a high fidelity sim out of say the su-25T? (And I´m not saying that it´s arcadish)
britgliderpilot Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Firstly, the devs finding out what everything does. Secondly, them having time to program it. Thirdly, you having time to learn it ;) I suggest you go find a copy of Falcon 4: Allied Force - it does exactly that for the F16. Every button, every switch, real ATC procedures, dynamic campaigns, proper AWACS . . . . . probably the best feeling of immersion in a flight sim ever. It's getting a bit old in the tooth now (Allied Force is basically a reworked version of the original Falcon 4, but don't hold that against it), so the graphics might seem old, and it's also only got the one aeroplane. But it's definitely worth having :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

manster Posted April 28, 2006 Author Posted April 28, 2006 Yeah, I know about Falcon.....but it´s the su 25T I wanna fly .......
Galaad Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Yeah, I know about Falcon.....but it´s the su 25T I wanna fly ....... Then, wait for tanks killers
Weta43 Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 E.D.'s implementing something like what you've asked for on the Ka-50 for L.O.B.S. as a "technology tester" for their next project which will include the Su-25T (& hopefully the Su-25 as well) Cheers.
manster Posted April 29, 2006 Author Posted April 29, 2006 You mean tank killers?....but I thoght that the su-25T wouldn´t be implemented, only the lamer su-25:P ....
britgliderpilot Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 You mean tank killers?....but I thoght that the su-25T wouldn´t be implemented, only the lamer su-25:P .... Depends who you listen to . . . . . The impression I got was that it would be a further development of Lomac, focussing on the A2G and CAS aircraft. The Su25T is at a relatively high level of fidelity now, the Ka50 will be higher still. Whether Tank Killers will significantly upgrade the Su25T in terms of what you can do in the cockpit, nobody knows yet. I'd expect the few remaining A2G aircraft ( . . . . . um, the A10 . . . . ) to get AFM and some more complex avionics - but beyond that, we simply don't know. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
VapoR Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 only the lamer su-25:P .... Actually, the barely-in-service overweight pile of porkfat that is known as the Su-25T is what is lame . . .
britgliderpilot Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Actually, the barely-in-service overweight pile of porkfat that is known as the Su-25T is what is lame . . . I sense a man who needs to Max Power his aeroplane . . . . . . Leave the spoilers off (bit counterproductive), but those big turbos, rechipping, shiny paint jobs (they make you go faster, y'know) . . . . could all help! Wasn't there an uprated version of the Su25 engine, or is that in the aforementioned porkfat already? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
