Hydrox Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Enemy missiles are hitting me when they are 2.5km - 3 km away, checked with labels on. Sometimes can't lock enemy planes, don't show on radar, even when they are directly in front of me (not ECM thing), they just disappear from hud. None of missiles ranges are right. Looks like all missiles have the same range. Isn't 73s range 30 km in rl? Anyone seen similar behaviour?
GGTharos Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Where did this happen, do you have tracks and/or tacviews? And no, the R-73's range in RL is 30km only if you are using a very modern (and AFAIK not yet deployed) R-73 against a head-on, high-speed, high-altitude, non-maneuvering after-burning targets. Then that R-73 might do 30km. Maybe. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Hydrox Posted April 26, 2015 Author Posted April 26, 2015 I don't have .trks - was just normal mission I made, couple of waypoints, couple enemy fighters nothing special. Has happened many times, last time I flew, I was flying about 1km above enemy without radar only IR and locked enemy and waited for LA - well what happened, enemy spotted me (how?!) and here we go again, I got hit when his AIM-9 was 2.5kms away from me, I was using (5) helmet lock and saw missile with labels at 2.5kms away and boom. What worries me, that game appear to be badly broken.

Weta43 Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 I don't have .trks - was just normal mission I made Every mission you fly generates a .trk, you just have to either : a/ save it with a distinct name as you exit the mission (you're always given that option after flying a mission) b/ If you've exited that screen, but not flown another mission yet, find the (I think it's called) tempMission.miz.trk file, copy & rename to something useful. A track would be useful. Cheers.
