tlgibson97 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I don't play much so I don't know when this issue could have started. There were many updates between play time. The issue is when I am flying, the cyclic will randomly become erratic and jump around. It will often go full to the left causing a rollover if I don't get on the autopilot fast enough to save it. After a few seconds of jumping around, it goes back to normal and I can continue flying. I attached a video of the gameplay showing how it behaves. Watching the monitor for the controls in the upper left corner, you'll see when it becomes erratic and when I activate the autopilot to save it. Has anyone experienced an issue like this or how to resolve it? I can't replicate it in any other games and I haven't noticed it in any other DCS modules. Joystick is an Saitek X-65 HOTAS. Current drivers.
Socket7 Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Check to make sure that your cyclic is not bound to any other controls. This could be the result of a control conflict. If that is not the case, you will need to run a test from the windows joystick control panel, and see if the problem shows up there. If the problem shows up in the windows joystick control panel , It's something with your joystick. Try using a different USB port or hub, and make sure any other plugs for it are in place tightly. If the issue persists, you'll have to contact Saitek tech support. Practice makes perfect.
iFoxRomeo Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Check your settings for double allocation of the cyclic axes. Fox Spoiler PC Specs: Ryzen 9 5900X, 3080ti, 64GB RAM, Oculus Quest 3
tlgibson97 Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Thanks guys. Now I feel stupid. It was the toe brakes on my pedals. At some point, the pedals got assigned to the cyclic. The brakes are so light I couldn't feel my toes touching them to notice. Case Closed.
