Hello,

i have a problem. If i start a game with my a-10c, it will start the aircraft with a wrong view.

My neutral posi is my variometer. I tried it with trackir5 and without same result.

It´s all fine with the f-15 only the a-10c view fault.

I have a X52 and TrackIR 5.

I got the View config by a friend without the problem.

Can someone help me, please?

My snapview:

Have you tried to clear all view control mappings?

There are default view controls mappings to the various axes and buttons on hotas/joystick controls that can make problems if you don't reset them. Especially when you are using TrackIR.

Do you use some mods? Try to disable them for test.

Maybe as idea: unplug X52, turn on TrackIR and start DCS. And see what is happening to exclude that view problem is control settings related.

I would try to repair DCS installation. Maybe some lua file is changed. Backup your DCS files first.

Okay. I tried to start DCS without X52 and after this without TrackIR but i got the same problem.

If i start DCS updater it will start instantly the game. So its up to date...

So i need to reinstall the game :/ It sucks

It is not complicated just start 'Repair' option. It shouldn't take too long.

Not sure if you need installation source files though.

No, don't reinstall to fix this. You simply need to reset your default snapview. You probably hit RALT+KPD0 (set default view) by accident while in a funny position.

Replace:

D:\Users\%USERNAME%\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapView.lua

with

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\View\SnapViewsDefault.lua

Really considerate of the devs to provide that default file.. smart.

The alternative to replacing the SnapView.lua is to reset your default view manually:

  • Use the views keys on the keypad to get in the view position you want
  • Hit RALT+KPD0
  • Hit F1

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Thanks! This looks more convenient than reinstalling/repairing DCS.

Most welcome, np. I only knew about it because I went through the same hell after making a mistake while trying to change my snapviews. Glad you resolved it.
