DCS SLI and multiple monitors

I can run DCS fine with one monitor and two SLI GTX980's. The problems begin when i change my resolution to 3840X1080 with the intent of having the camera+LMFCD on the right. The sim starts and then crashes.

 

Any ideas?

Did you uncheck the 'Full Screen' box? Not doing so will definitely cause a crash right after it starts.

I did uncheck the box. The only workaround that I have found is to disable SLI and enable surround. FPS isnt' that great though.

mmh I run it with multiple monitors with 2xGTX970 in SLI no problem. both windowed or fullscreen, I get no crashes. I know SLI is working, because I get the green bar on the nvidia SLI indicator. However the indicator only shows when in fullscreen mode. When I go to windowed, I get about the same FPS. From this I conclude that SLI in fact also works in windowed mode (did read many posts stating that SLI never works in windowed on any game, which confuses me)

If you right click on your desktop and go to the nvidia control panel, what mode are you running your GPU's in? SLI? Surround? Multi montior mode?
