yipster Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Hi All, I'm new to this forum and DCS world. I have been reading a lot in this forum and oh it has a lot to learn. I've slowly starting to build my own sim setup. DCS A10C mainly as I have been flying that most of the time. I am currently trying out Helios to interface clickable MDF buttons on the 2nd screen. I can't seem to get Helios to connect to DCS. I have set up the interface to add DCS A10 to Helios, pointed the DCS A10 folder to the DCS World install folder I have: ..\Program Files\Steam\common\apps\DCS World I am running Steam version of DCS, so I can keep all games I have in one centralised package. I have tried running the profile editor in admin mode, still no luck. Is there something I'm missing?
Capt Zeen Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 You need to be sure you are using a correct export.lua I dont have experience width Steam installation, but in the standar one, this file is in C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts, Probably you need to overwrite some aditional files aswell if you want to export to the second monitor some devices of the A10C. I recomend you use the CapLoz profile for the A10c, there is all the files and information you need for it. IMPORTANT: And rebember, some versions ago, ED change the name of the folder "aircrafts" by "aircraft", so if you download a old profile, check for this folder on the package and rename it before copy to your dcs installation. I copied the changes that Helios made to the export.lua file into the export.lua file in the above directory. All is working fine now! Thanks!:thumbup:
yipster Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Hi, There are 7 _init.lua files in the Hleios profile provided. Where should I put these files? I think I got the MFCDs working, but the remaining viewport export are not showing yet. I believe these init.lua files are the ones to make them work? Thanks!
Capt Zeen Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Yes, you need to replace the original files width thi s ones, that permits export the other devices to the second monitor. like the rwr, digital clock, etc. I recomend you to replace the files using JSGM o similar program, becouse every time ED update the game, youll need to do it again. I dont remember where exactly you need to put the files, i am not at home, right now, but if i remember well is in dcs/mod/aircraft/a10c/cockpit/scripts/ and then each init in his folder.
