StrongHarm Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Outstanding! Thank you. It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
Erdem Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 Anyone else notice how it's not his missile that takes the Mig out, but a missile from a completely different angle? Like this:
Mowgli Posted June 27, 2015 Posted June 27, 2015 I tend to agree with Erdem - Like many "Historical" documentaries out there there are many misleading images. At 00:14 the narrator is speaking about the mig when actually the image is a Sukhoi (17,19?) performing a bombing run at the Golan Heights during the 1973 October War. At 01:58 That's a Mig-21 but not a syrian one. Released by the IAF - This is a sequence of IAF engagements taken from different wars and at 03:19 you can see the same footage but a bit bigger and clearer - it could be that the smoke pattern is of a second missile and the actual hit is of a first one not recorded on the tape. Gentlemen - A bit of history: The first downing the F-15 wrote was of the Israeli government : At Friday 10 December 1976 three F-15A to be delivered to IAF, flown by USAF pilots, landed at Tel-Nof airbase. The IAF organized a welcome ceremony at the base with participants of government members and the prime minister himself (Izhak Rabin - the first Israeli prime minister to be assassinated at 1994). Due to long flight hours and the ceremony itself many government members didn't manage to reach their homes before the sabbath began and a motion of no confidence in the Government was appealed weeks later. The prime minister had to resign and with him the government  [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel i5 4690K | ASUS Z-97PRO Gaming Mobo | Nvidia Gigabyte GTX970 3.5/0.5 GB Windforce3 | G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz | Samsung Evo 120GB SSD | Win10 Pro | Antec 750w 80 Bronze Modular
