phenakist Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Hey guys, I am looking to making some WWII set pieces for DCS. I want to start off semi-simply by modelling some static pieces such as a grounded b-17 or artillery. As a mod, where would these files go? Is there a tutorial on adding objects such as static items//AI controlled pieces. Thanks
phenakist Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Just need the basic idea of how I get models from modelling software into this game. I have done it with others, but there seems to be zero information for DCS.
swither Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Hi! You would do this as a tech mod, i don't know of any tutorials unfortunately but there's a number of existing mods that adds vehicles and such that you could download and look through. Start by looking in the entry.lua file and follow the code from there :) It shouldn't be too dificult to add simple units! /Daniel Heatblur Simulations

Yea tutorials are definately lacking and I have read on how planes are done but nothing really explaining most simpler objects such as ground units.
