hello all,

i have a problem:when i try to join a session in hyperlobby i got immediatly the windows message (traducted from french) : "afmbase.dll not found.you may reinstall the application".However i can play on ubi.com lobby (;/).

wud anyone have an idea for a fix or any solutions?

(lock on 1.0->1.1(web version)+season pack->1.12a/winxp/ati)

I would say go download the latest version of Hyperlobby & reinstall it.

afmbase.dll is indeed a part of lock-on. Sounds like its corrupted file or (if you have patched reciently) a bad patch download. Try a fresh install with a newly downloaded patch.

As you say this "afmbase.dll blah blah error" is shown by Hyperlobby, not by LockOn. So I recommend that you also take this issue to HL support forums. Or maybe you have french version of LockOn? Well then.. im not sure. Sounds weird really. Maybe when HL loads LockOn, then LockOn.exe actually doesn't work in LockOn directory, but in HL directory, and can't find its files.

afmbase.dll in c:/program files/eagles dyn/lock on

and c:/program files/eagles dyn/lock on/back up 1.1(and it says it s not found,it s a joke ;/)

well i tried to redl and reinstall 1.12a patch but still nothin.mayb i shud ask a mate to gimme his own afmbase.dll file to replace it..really dunno now ;/

for those who will have the same problem:

Indeed the trouble came from hyperlobby which doesn t recognize the 1.12a version of lock on,so u ll need to indicate the correct installation path to hyperlobby

click maj+ctrl and click on "connect" to open the searchgame box,then write the correct adress like C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Eagle Dynamics\Lock On\LockOn.exe..

then lock on will launch properly.

AH- yeah I remember reading about this. It didn't happen to me upon updating to 1.12 or "a" so it's not at the front of my memory. Glad you got it fixed.
