Does the R-77 require a specific radar to support it?

Hi,

 

I'm modifying the Su-33.lua file to add Multiple Ejector Racks for the FAB-100 and FAB-250 and adding the R-77 missile.

 

I was able to find the Codes for what I was looking for but I have a question in regards to the radar designation on the Lua file below.

 

Sensors = {

-- RADAR = "N-001", -- Original Radar

RADAR = "N-011M", -- Su-30 Radar Set

-- RADAR = "N-019M", -- MiG-29S Radar Set

IRST = "OLS-27",

RWR = "Abstract RWR"

 

I switched the original radar found in the Su-27/Su-33 with the Su-30 Radar used by the Su-30.lua file which utilizes the R-77.

 

Does changing the radar have any affect?

You should still be able to fire the R-77.

You don't need to change the radar, you can just add R-77 to the Su-27 or Su-33 loadouts and it'll work just fine.
