Hey folks, first time here.

Rather than to ask support, I was hoping I might be able to inquire with the community if anyone else is having issues with a loud humming between loading of modules.

it's like the activity shuts down but the sound card won't release at the very end and hangs on to the last note.... i get this terribly loud noise when i exit or switch between a module. It won't go away until i load the next activity kicks in.

I'm using onboard sound on an Asus sabertooth X79 MB.

Anyone experience this type of issue, feedback is always appreciated.

Sounds like Electro magnetic radiation to me. Is your GPU close to your PSU?

Try to move your GPU as far away as possible from your PSU slot wise.

Also you might wanna check the cables going from your onboard audio card to your speakers.

My bet is that its either your PSU or your Soundcard connection thats causing the problem.

I have experience with an ASUS soundcard(Xonar PCI-E) hanging when exiting games(which is what happens when you go back to the DCS main menu), and replaying part of the last sound played to make a deafening noise.

Unfortunately, the "solution" for me was to stop using the card altogether, because the issue stemmed from the driver, which for mine wasn't updated anymore.

So aside from checking for updates for the soundcard driver, there's not much I can tell you.

Of course, you could switch to a USB soundcard. If you have a USB headset or external soundcard, try that and see if it also has this issue.
