DCS MP PvP Event: Operation Sentinel

Hello, virtual pilots.

 

 

Me and some of my friends will organize a DCS MP event next week. It's going to be a PvP campaign, mixed with various AI units, set in the early 90's. So that means lots of Sparrows, R-27's and no "spamraams". :)

 

 

There will be different objectives that will have to be completed by each side and the other side will try to prevent it. After each mission, an assessment will be made and the next mission will reflect the results of previous battles. First operation will be a test run with max 16 players, and will therefore only include F-15 for blue team and Su-27 for read team. It's going to include various tasks such as OCA, DCA and escort.

 

 

The scenario will run approx. 90-120 minutes and will be quite straight to the point. Airframes are going to be limited in quantity, so reckless flying can result in unnecessary deaths which will in turn affect the end result.

 

 

Event will start on Tuesday 25.8, at 20:00 GMT+1, server name will be: OP Sentinel.

 

 

 

What will you need?

 

- Latest version of DCS and FC3.

 

- Team Speak and mic. In order to avoid a pure deathmatch scenario, participants are required to use TS. This will hopefully spawn cooperation and the use of tactics.

I live in the US - San Diego :) and can't play during the weekdays due to travel for work. Are you also planning to run the event on the weekends? I would love to participate as I prefer 80s weapons.

Yes! Today was just a test run since it was first time we did this. :)

 

We'll run on weekends from now on and we'll also add the Hawg and Fishbed next time.

 

Since many people asked for it, A-10C will be added, but it'll have no TGP and no C-exclusive weapons, so that it'll be as nineties as possible.
