erjdriver Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Starting the campaign - Instead of sequential, it seems to rotate 3 missions initially - even though you're not done with the first one. Any way around it. I'd like to concentrate on 1 mission at a time. That's hard enough - w/o tracking strategies for 3.
ED Team Raptor9 Posted September 11, 2015 ED Team Posted September 11, 2015 I believe it's set up to give you a different mission each time (limited to the number of missions for each stage of course) For example, when you start the campaign, it will randomly select 1 of 4 possible missions for the outset of the campaign. If you accomplish that mission, it will select 1 of 4 missions programmed for the 2nd stage since the frontline moved, and so on. If you fail the first mission, you wouldn't go out to try and re-fly that mission in real-life (the war still continues outside of your flight's mission), instead you are given another mission to accomplish, so it will select another of the 4 missions in stage 1. Until you accomplish a stage 1 mission, the frontline effectively doesn't move, so you'll keep getting missions, but they'll be limited to those original 4 created for the 1st stage of the campaign. I assume it's an effort to simulate changing battlefield conditions in absence of an dynamic campaign engine; but only so many missions can be created and programmed in. This is just based on my own observations of what has happened to me in the past, and my own efforts to make a small campaign for myself using the campaign creator. If anyone else can clarify or correct my post, please do. Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. DCS Rotor-Head
