Hawx004 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 System specs: intel i7 processor and AMD 7670M GPU 8Gb RAM Im getting and average of 40+ fps sometimes 50+ when flying (low graphic settings), but when entering clouds it drops to around 25, also when puting "Storm" in weather conditions also fps drops to 20-25. Explosions on the ground sometimes causes huge fps drops (to around 10) for about half a second. Everything else is fine, great job with 1.5, just wanted to help posting some performance issues.
aceviper Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 If you have a lower end graphics card then you going to struggle getting those FPS up there. So no issue here as far as I can see.You cannot get blood from a stone. Maybe invest in some new hardware to go with the new engine....sorry!

I have the same HD7670m card and don't get this in clouds at all or with explosions. I do get a massive drop with MAV screen displayed (FLIR) though. What driver version are you using with the HD7670? I5 - 1TB SSHD, 256 SSD - Nvidia 1070 - 16gb ram - CV1
NakedSquirrel Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 New clouds have not been implemented yet Modules: A10C, AV8, M2000C, AJS-37, MiG-21, MiG-19, MiG-15, F86F, F5E, F14A/B, F16C, F18C, P51, P47, Spitfire IX, Bf109K, Fw190-D, UH-1, Ka-50, SA342 Gazelle, Mi8, Christian Eagle II, CA, FC3
Gary Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 New clouds have not been implemented yet That's true but imho there is nothing in 1.5 that is the same as it was before. The code might be the same and the effects the same but just being in the 1.5 environment makes them all feel somehow different. I think its just as much about perception and personal experience and not just a yes or no regarding new code. But of course factually you are correct. Hanley Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Vaporization of enemy combatants during ground attack clogs the pores of the puter and causes a drop in fps at the time of the explosion.

Not sure how to see it, but anyway with a laptop this performance is quite good, I should get a desktop pc, I know theres problems with screen freezing but thats a problem everyone has, they are solving it, when I change from one zone to another (not sure if is that) I get huge fps drop, dont know if its processor, GPU, RAM or something is being optimized, is like it loads the next zone of the map.
