bunraku Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Hi. Just wondering why some parts of the map are blacked out? Is it a bug or is it just not been loaded into your flight plan? This is in the beta, but it may be the same in the normal sim. Thanks
cichlidfan Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 (edited) That mostly happens at high resolution, and it indicates that the computer (on the aircraft) does not contain data for that area at that resolution. Usually if you back off one resolution level, you will have map coverage. EDIT: I should add 'IIRC, and Snoopy is welcome to correct me if I have misspoken' :) Edited October 11, 2015 by cichlidfan ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero, i7-6700K, Noctua NH-D14 Cooler, Crucial 32GB DDR4 2133, Samsung 950 Pro NVMe 256GB, Samsung EVO 250GB & 500GB SSD, 2TB Caviar Black, Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! FSFIan Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Correct, and it was always the case (for example in the area around Tiblisi). There are locations where the TAD map is simply not available in all zoom levels (you can verify this by extracting the ZIP fiile with the TAD map tiles, IIRC that was somewhere under mods\aircraft\A-10C\Textures).
