Frozen image

Hello,

 

I'm having some problems and the game is becoming unplayable.

I'm in cockpit view, flying in multiplayer and my screen freezes, I can't pan around or control the aircraft. After a few seconds I get control again (sometimes too late because I've crashed) and I can pan and fly normally but after a few moments the problem persists. After a while I get a black screen and game crashes.

 

I get the following error message.

 

 

My system specs:

 

• Windows 64 with latest updates.
  
• CPU AMD Opteron 175.
  
• Motherboard Asus A8N32-SLI.
  
• Graphics card: GeForce 6600GT with driver ForceWare Release 80
  Version: 84.25 Release Date: April 14, 2006.

 

I have no problems in other games, just LockOn.

Any hints?

You could use the regular 32 bit XP oS. Going 64 bit OS doesnt give you anything new except problems, and your 32 bit software will run under a 32 to 64 bit translator. Those twiches could be result of something not going too well between the game and the OS, or your GFX drivers and between the game.

 

Further more Vista will be the standard 64 bit OS and XP64 will be something that got little if any software support by then anyway. Getting the longhorn right now to be "ready for the future" wont actualy give you any advantage.

 

Running XP pro SP1 (yeah, not even SP2 as it will break my connex and I have too litle time for backing up all those GIG's of data), and I never experience black screens, freezes or whatnot, maybe because LOMAC was developed with this incarnation of XP OS.

 

BTW, swich off antivirus during online play. SWich off immidiatly before, and on immidiatly after. If its not the OS it could be the AV.

I'm using Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, not Longhorn or Vista.

I do get better performance from this OS and I have no problems with it whatsoever, except with LockOn!

 

The Antivírus is always off when playing in order to increase performance.

 

This is something related with the game or the graphic drivers but I would like a response from the developers.
