Not sure if this is a bug or by design but it seems like dynamic shadowing is still enabled when I have "Flat Terrain Shadows" enabled. As you can clearly see in the screenshot of the Huey, the tree's shadow is cast on top of the Huey. Nice effect but causes major frame rate drop.

As an aside, I would love the option to control terrain shadow settings by themselves (off, flat, dynamic) without affecting other shadows (cockpit, aircraft, etc).

hi kontiuka!

i did some tests a while ago and i noticed that the flat terrain shadows are only effective for tree shadows near buildings.(villages ,cities)

it has nothing to do with structure shadows, weird but flat terrain shadows only have one function for now.

maybe we can see some significant changes on later 1.5 updates or on Dcs 2.0.

here my test example

You need to set shadows to "flat only" in the left panel also
Yup, I noticed that too. Is that the way it's supposed to work though? That you can only have flat terrain shadows by turning off all other shadows? I kind of hope not.

Some official confirmation would be nice.
