Here’s a little something I just threw together in Windows Movie Maker – and it’s only 2 minutes long.

It features very challenging approaches, due to terrain and obstructions, into Gelendzhik (F-15C), Grottaglie (F16C) and Innsbruck (Boeing 727-200).

Here's the Google Video version to save you the DL.

Atop the midnight tarmac,

a metal beast awaits.

To be flown below the radar,

to bring the enemy his fate.

Heh heh - Gelendzhik Runway 22...... Remember it well, I discovered its perculiarities during a night mission with (accidentally set) appropriate wind direction - quite a W T F moment - LOL.

I built a mission including Gelendzhik a while back with a south-west wind. A flight of AI MiG-29s intercepted the 22 ILS (and yes, there is one) about eight miles out and flew in unison into the northern slope of the ridge on the approach.

The F-16 was very kind to me and the gear survived the arrival (only just). FS2004 and F4AF frequently have auto-gen buildings pop up very close to short finals, although add-on scenery packages can be used to remove them.
