After I copy and paste the miz file to my mission file folder, start DCS and try to open the .miz file in my DCS mission editor, DCS shows me" this file is newer than editor......" I update my DCS , and try again, it is still the same: file is newer than this editor" my DCS version 1.2.16.43180 What is the reason? Edited November 11, 2015 by bin801

Grimes Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Most likely the mission was made in 1.5 or newer and you are running 1.2.16. While the formats are very similar overall, there are a few changes that breaks backwards compatibility. You should still be able to open the mission file, but its not guaranteed to work. If you install the open beta you will be able to open the mission file without issue. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.
