3-screen setup: do the 3 screens need to be identical?

Hi, I currently have 1 screen and I may be able to get 1-2 extra screens for cheap. Thinking of getting 2 to use as side monitors.

Do the 3 monitors need to have the same resolution?

No, basically you total up the screen real estate and chop it up as you see fit.

 

So the screen sizes can be different and it can be placed in any position you want.
