Hi all,

I took some time today to help you guys. Hope you guys give me something in return cus my time, like yours, isn't free! :D

First of all, with the release of DCS 2.0 Alpha I don't know if we should still send reports for the DCS 1.5 Beta. It would be good if ED team could clarify that up.

Resume:

Flying a made mission in ME, L39 in formation, got the PC freeze with the sound being locked and repetitive. No response from the computer to any inputs. PC reset.

Situation:

Created a mission in ME with some units to train. Took-off from Nalchik 06 at 0900 22 December, Winter, left turn at NDB N heading 315º flight around ~30 KM (15NM), attacked some targets with rockets, asked wingman to attack those targets, wingman on run in, join formation of right wing, PC freezes. Hard reset, after hard rest windows told me "Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown".

Track unrecoverable.

PC unresponsive, monitor on with image still, sound repetitive and of electronic nature, no response to Ctrl+Alt+Delete, PC reset.

Attachments:

1. Log

2. Mission

4. System Info

Harware:

According with signature.

If more info necessary please don't hesitate to ask. One of the worst things is a software that crashes, it always lead to unhappiness, if that software is a sim then is 100000x worst.

Regards

This has started to happen to me as well with the latest patch, regardless of what craft I'm flying. The symptoms are similar apart from the monitor, which goes blank with a "no signal" message.

Have the same problem as well. Even made a thread about it earlier. Only during night flying, screen suddenly goes black with no signal.

My screen did not went black. It just stayed frozen forever and the audio was like grungy and repetitive. I did not experience any black screen and no signal. Just unresponsive PC with a frozen image.

Guys -

Check your dcs.log. If it says "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" then either the driver is crashing, or the card is going south. I suspect the latter in my case. Ah well, was about to buy a brand-new GTX980 anyway ;)

PS / EDIT: And I did. This card sure rawks compared to an ancient 580, I'm telling ya! Plus no more crashes or freezes anymore, so the old card was obviously on its last legs.

Ahah! :D What you mean my card is going South? Bought it half year ago and before that I was running on a 9800, without any trouble, most probably a drivers problem or running the sim at too high settings.

But with a GTX 660 you are already saying that I should switch?! Probably you have a mine gold around.

Sorry for the OT.

No such line on my Log. Thanks.
