Hi all, Mission designers or the curious may be interested in the attached mission. Stuka has set about a far more impressive piece of work with regards to annotating the NTTR map via Google Earth and eventually a miz template. I was midway doing my own when I realised the redundancy of mine. Nevertheless, its a different take on the same thing, but for this it's a list of triggers with descriptions over visible marks and buildings within the range that you can see from inside DCS mission editor.

I've used Google satelllite data which shares a remarkable similarity with DCS textures and in some cases gone back some years to determine the age or validity of some of the marks. I've marked the outline of the NTTR boundaries as set by fences in Red and the 'ring road' in Blue.

The work is incomplete, but for the most part some of the obvious textures have a name. It also allows you to look at locations of NTTR and get a better feeling for the flow for the density of objects and ranges.

Along the way I learned a lot about how NTTR has changed since 1999 from satellite, how they move and update targets (or not), you see the developments in the mid 2000's in Groom lake and mock airbases being built and even airports like the one near Yucca. Despite NTTR's likeness to the planet Mars there is a curiosity about the government dealings that renders the place legendary, so this work was not in vain, I feel a lot closer and I am sure many others held a fascination with it's vast mysteries. I totally recommend a day spent with Google Earth and search engines and the F10 map, I had an interesting time.
