ElGringo Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) It is a well known problem with DCS. Damages to AIs don' t affect their engine performances or flight models. While it not really a problem with modern jets (missiles and 20mm gatling guns are too hard-hitting to notice it), WW2 and Korea era planes suffer from this issue. For example, a P-51 hit by 30 13mm bullets and 3-4 30mm shells will not suffer any loss of performance, and will not disengage combat. AIs only disengage if they are almost destroyed. In this case they will turn nav lights on and RTB. A more detailed management of damages by AI would do a lot to improve realism and immersion when flying solo. mrsteel Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 +1 this is much needed in dcs and in my opinion more important than new modules at the current time.
A.P. Hill Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 +1 especially with the Mig 15. They get faster and better when they are shot to pieces.
Dunravin Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 +1 No more new modules thanks... lets get the fundamental core gameplay right first, otherwise what is the point in new modules anyway? Current situation is laughable. The FALSE is real, but it's not THRUTH right? Intel i7 8700K OC4.4GHz | 16GB | GTX1080Ti | Logitech G940 | TrackIR5 |
A.P. Hill Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 The AI issue is the single most glaring issue of all. Its the "elephant in the room" To be able to shoot ailerons and elevators off of an enemy AI,get him heavily smoking and still have him fly as if he is undamaged is truly an immersion killer for a lot of us. Please fix this ASAP.
