EWR placement

I have been playing around in the mission editor and learned how to properly set up say an S-300 site, Command vehicle to big bird linked to tin can, linked to flap lid and finally the launchers themselves but I have also noticed EWR vehicles in the list and wonder how one would go about properly adding one of these to a mission, dose say the 55G6 EWR station need to be leader then SAM site as units under its control or can it be place by itself and send info automatically? also how dose the Ground control intercept radar work just place it and it will give BRA to allied flights?? Thanks in advance.

EWR is stand alone. It's not necessarily all that useful for SAM AI as SAM's will still use their own radar even with EWR support. To make them use the EWR to hide requires advanced techniques like Grimes' EWR script. Aircraft will benefit from EWR though, as they will be able to see without radar.

I have combined both script, and works GREAT.

The script have been configured to may own preferences. But... check it.
