No Fullscreen When Res. Change (v1.5.2)

For some reason sometimes I changed resolution to other options, with Fullscreen is clicked!

But DCS starts in window mode, aligned to the top-left.

 

I can fix this only by doing Alt+TAB (but an other app or a window must running in background to switch apps each other).

 

This is not crash, so no any crash report. But I did this:

 

* Run DCS World and set resolution to 1920x1080 (default).

* Exit DCS World.

* Deleted all DCS logs!

* Run DCS World and set resolution to 1600x900

 

DCS restarts but no fullscreen.

 

* Exit DCS World.

* Zipped all logs (contains DXDiag) what I have and upload here!

 

There're a few threads but I don't know if they're talking about same bug, and no any [REPORTED] tag in threads' name.

This issue still exists!

 

Please provide a fix. Everyone doesn't have to use 1920x1080.

Yes it is a Bug. :music_whistling: I have similar problem when start the game with the desktop resolution, lower than 1920x1080px.

In the DCSW 1.2 the game start in the screen resolution selected previously in the game settings menu.

Now in DCSW 1.5, if you have the windows desktop in 1440x900px, the game no change the screen resolution to 1920x1080px. when starting. :cry:

 

I usually change the desktop resolution to 1920x1080px before start the DCSW game, if i forget this, .. I must perform a forced close of the game using the task manager because is imposible the normal exit procedure. the Exit button is missing in the screen.

Guys - this same thing just happened to me yesterday.

 

I had an AMD Eyefinity screen resolution version running in DCS 1.5 and my AMD software crashed. Now I can not get back into DCS 1.5 to make any scren resolution changes. I get the "squeezed" version of the DCS menu in the middle of my screen and can not click on anything to open the setup screens to change the resolution back to 1920 x 1200. How can I get back into the DCS setup screen OR is there another way (back door) to get into and edit a configuration file to fix the problem. Thanks

In your saved games folder, edit the config/options.lua file to your resolution. Use Notepad++.
