whiteside Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Anyone using Leap motion or others? Thanks Will i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
Ragtop Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Not seen any solutions that were feasible beyond the stages of "Having a go". Leap motion isn't nearly accurate enough to work for the level of detail DCS requires. If you want to get physical then your options are hardware controllers or a touch display with Helios/other software. 476th vFG Alumni
whiteside Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Thanks for that Ragtop. I was looking for a solution since I use the Rift almost 80% of my Sim time. Ragtop Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 At this point in time I've not seen anything that offers the level of precision that you'd require for this task unfortunately. I'm sure that when the Rift and it's equivalents move to consumer release then this kind of technology will follow. It's a shame that there is such a disconnect between visuals and the physical world when it comes to VR! 476th vFG Alumni
whiteside Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Ragtop, will the Leapmotion work at all in sim? i9-9900K 3.6(Running at 5.0 GHZ) 32GB Memory 2x M.2 drives Win 10 64bit RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra OCULUS RIFT CV1 VKB Gunfighter 2 extended/TM Pedals/TM Warthog throttles.
Ragtop Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I have no idea - I'd be very surprised if it did. With the customer reception I've seen I can't imagine anybody would have taken the time to implement it. You'd probably be better looking for mouse emulation which could in turn work in sim. 476th vFG Alumni
