QuiGon Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) Simple Question: What do I have to do to align the INS? When I turn the INS Mode Selector knob to ALN, I get the yellow ALN warning/message but then nothing happens. :dunno: Edited December 25, 2015 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Zeus67 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Simple Question: What do I have to do to align the INS? When I turn the INS Mode Selector knob to ALN, I get the yellow ALN warning/message but then nothing happens. :dunno: INS alignment is not enabled yet. The INS basically just reads the mission flight plan and show waypoints. It will be upgraded in the future to a full blown INS system. So, please be patient. QuiGon Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Ok, so on startup I can just switch to NAV without aligning it first? But it keeps telling me that alignement is needed (yellow warning) and the green ready light doesn't come on. It will work anyways you say? Zeus67 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Disregard the warning lights (for now ;) ) "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots.
