I wonder what's the best settings for the graphics, with the GTX 980Ti / 4K

Here are my settings, attached

So i have about 35 fps average. If i change the resolution to 2560x1440, i have 60 fps, with VSync ON, for both.

But when i installed the game, 4-5 weeks ago, with the same settings @4k the game was running way better, i mean more FPS.

Am i doing something wrong, maybe ? I tried to reduce everything to MEDIUM / AF to OFF / flat terrain as well, but with the same fps.

Would you please give me some advices ? I do not want to use 2560x1440

I think the weak point in your system is RAM. I have the same system excepting RAM (16 GB) and with max settings I have no problems with FPS at all.

Recommended system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+; RAM: 16GB; Hard disk space: 60 GB; Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX780 / ATI R9 290 DirectX11 or better; Joystick; requires internet activation.

Are you sure you need more RAM? Monitor your RAM Consumption with MSI Afterburner.

i enabled again some Nvidia settings, from services

I think that's the reason, i should keep them enabled

i report back if the fps drops to 30,40...

Solway, do you have everything high / extreme for the graphics settings?

It's hard to believe that you have 60 fps with those 2 extreme settings

Which software would you recommend for monitoring the fps?

There is one, in the game, top left, Right Alt + Pause, or something like this, but it's way to small, i wish I could modify the letters, numbers, but i don't know where they are located

To know the fps press RCtrl+Pause.

I can give you the track to compare.

I fly Su-27 with mirrors.

Do you know where the location is for the fps text?

Lenux, try downloading "Fraps" It gives a big clear FPS reading in whichever corner you'd like.

I thought, its much easier to press Ctrl + pause, to see the FPS

I see that you have 16 GB ram, too, like many others on this forum

Hmmm, i think about, maybe i get 8 GB more.

This game / simulator, is by faaaaar, the best i ever played.

One more question, please : whats the best settings for the TrackIR 5 if you have some light sources behind / near you ?

Light filter threshold was set to 150, now i changed it to 253. Everytime when i play and a small sunshine goes through the window ( behind me ) the TrackIR goes crazy

Yes it is.

 

On another note, to get the most performance, i7/980 Ti wise, I recommend overclocking as much as you can get away with. In my experience the 980 Ti gets significant gains OCed.

 

I run my Ti boost clock at ~1400Mhz and memory +200-300 Mhz using EVGAs Precision X software.

 

My card is a regular clocked EVGA card with the upgraded ACX 2.0 cooler and has an ASIC score of 74.5% so your milage may vary.

Do you have any idea how could i get ride of this effect ? ( attached image )

When i watch right / left / from the cockpit, there is like a rainbow effect around the plane.

I already disabled Shadows. Flat Terrain Shadows is on.

And one more question : is there a trick to have the framarate ( top left ) always on, when i start the game ??
