Wingman - AI Engage Bandit

Hi guys,

 

When I have a bogey targeted and I request my AI wing to attack, does the wing attack my unlocked target or he just goes for the closest contact? Hard to tell when in the heat of things.

 

Seems in a a/a setup I have against 2 SU27s, I lock the guy pointed at me, and seems that the wing goes after the same guy after requesting he engage...leaving the 2nd bogey to launch at me. Seems he should go for the unlocked contact.

 

Maybe I should request the wing to cover me instead?

You can either tell the AI to attack your target (locked on) or attack the nearest target. In a 2 on 2, you should lock the trailing enemy to make sure both planes are fired on.
