russflyin Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Hey guys Bit of an Issue here. Loading up the sim and everything is normal. i am able to fly the A10 and the Su25 and i have no problems.. BUT If i load up the UH i have no working controls?. the rudder, pitch, yaw throttles ect and non responsive.. i checked this with the Shift-Enter Button to bring up the control Box and could see nothing was moving. the Hat and buttons work ok though?. in the setup its showing everything is mapped correctly and if i scan for a new map it finds the joystick movement.. If i try to start the sim with the UH already running it loads but the engines will refuse to run or start... I'm very confused on this one.? have tried repair and renamed the folder in saved games. any help would be a massive right now as i would love to test this bird on 2.0 Regards Typhoon
RazorbackNL Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 My best quess would be to delete the following map: c:\Users\<Your username>\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha (or DCS.openbeta if you are using that)\Config\Input\UH-1H (make a backup of it first!) Restart DCS and remap all of the UH-1 controls again. Make sure you do not get any double assignments. If that still doesn't help I think something went wrong with installing the Huey module. You can uninstall it with the ingame Module Manager. I don't think this will cost you an activation because the serial key is already stored in the registry. I hope this will help you with your problem. Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) | AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4,5Ghz | 128Gb DDR4 3200Mhz | beQuiet! Flagrum Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Just deinstalling and reinstalling the module will not use up any activation. But anyway, I would always try a "DCS Repair" from the start menu first - it detects and fixes potential other, not directly module related errors in the DCS installation as well.
=Mac= Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I wanted to do a embark/disembark mission in 2.0 but found that it's not available. Fine. Alpha release. But I went to 1.5 and created the mission. The embark/disembark worked fine. However, the cyclic and collective joystick responses were very very mushy. I cleared those axes and re-defined them to +30, x and y. Same mushy response. I set x and y back to zero. 2.0 has great response even at +30. Does 2.0 and 1.5 have different functionality in these axes? The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. Now, if we could just get a GAU-8 in the nose next to the AN/APG-65, a titanium tub around the pilot, and a couple of J-58 engines in the tail...
jimcarrel Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 For me Huey has same response in 1.5 as it does in 2.0,,works fine. Win 10 64 bit Intel I-7 7700K 32GB Ram Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gig
=Mac= Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Thanks. Then it has to be my install, somehow. I'll check... somehow. The Hornet is best at killing things on the ground. NeilWillis Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 If you can enter the aircraft, but not use the controls, it usually points to the activation not being correctly applied.
Flagrum Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 (edited) If you can enter the aircraft, but not use the controls, it usually points to the activation not being correctly applied. No, that is only true for the Hawk (and the CC101?). Other modules just don't allow you to enter the cockpit in that case. But I seem to remember that I have read about problems with the Huey controls and a broked DLL ... but can't find it right now. @OP and the others: post your DCS.log here please after you started a mission with the Huey. edit: Finally! Got it ... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=155143 There is a temporary fix described - but unfortunately that seems to requires access to a running DCS 1.2.16 ... which, when you have encountered this problem right now, you probably don't have anymore ... ArtMan_NL Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) I had the same problem and the temporally fix with copying the 1.2.16 UH1 folder over the same folder in 1.5 or 2.0 (replacing) and do a repair is the only solution. There are other topics in this forum about this subject. As far as I know it is an official registered bug. If somebody needs the required folder please PM me. I have the old 1.2.16 UH1 folder or the 1.2.16 installation files. The UH1 in the 1.2.16 installation folder doesn't have to be activated by the way. //Arthur No, that is only true for the Hawk (and the CC101?). I have the exact problem, where the controls are really moshy as you say. Make it almost impossible to have a steady hover with helicopters. Have you find a fix for that or is this still a problem?
Stephy Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Hi new to the forum. I have the exact problem, where the controls are really moshy as you say. Make it almost impossible to have a steady hover with helicopters. Have you find a fix for that or is this still a problem? Well gonna sorta answer my own question. For the HU-1 when I removed all keyboard assignment for the axis movement ( for keyboard flying ) The mushiness disappeared. For the Mi-8 still had some of the mushiness, but I guess it because of the hydraulic system, not sure.
mildak Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Hi I've got a different issue: when in "simple avionic" mode (yop, I'm just beginer on the beginning of learing curve), It seems like some key commands does not work for UH-1. For example, I;m not able to close the door (RCTRL+C as far as I remeber) or start the engine (HOME). Are those options simply not available under simple avionics? (in simulator mode, everything seems fine, but I'd like to be able to start up my heli from cold even in simple mode). Thanks for help
DeJohn Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Hi I;m not able to close the door (RCTRL+C as far as I remeber) or start the engine (HOME). I had to check since I haven't play the game mode in some time... RCTRL + C hasn't worked in game mode for a while. However you can still click on the door handle to open or close it. Auto start is LWIN + Home and does work. You can check your assignments on the option page.
mildak Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Auto start is LWIN + Home and does work. -> Yes it works but I'd preffer to start it manually You can check your assignments on the option page. -> the problem is that some parts are missing (engine start - home) in options page for game mode. Some are present (close/open doors) bud does not work....
