But the slew button is now dead, contacted TM tech support, will wait.

 

The Coolie hat though, behaves as though it is performing multiple short presses and refuses to perform any long hold presses. Any advice on if I can fix this in TARGET? If so how? Or is this also a broken button.

I would go into game controller calibration and see if it shows continuous pressure on the button to determine if there is something broken.

 

However, I don't use TARGET as the native support in DCS works fine, so can't really assist there.

It does show continuous pressure. ugh. TARGET completely fails to work because of a Win 10 and FAST service incompatibility

Probably loose cable. In my case, clicking on the trigger would fire up like 15 buttons. I opened up the joystick and found a loose cable in the base. It really does have horrendously cheap workmanship inside the joystick. I soldered the lose cable and it was as good as new.
