Challenger2014 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I am wanting to start a new server on NFOservers, but this will be my first time trying such a thing. I have previously attempted the same thing on a WHS2011 setup, but I never got it working. Is there a guide on how to do this? Has anyone succeeded? The idea would be to have a squad of guys or random people just log in and fly their plane of choice, unless it is required to set up specific scenarios. Can anyone over any valuable advice?
Shmick Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Unless I've missed something, at the moment it simply won't be possible because DCS requires a DX11-compatible graphics card. Hanging out for a dedicated server for 2.0, though :)
Challenger2014 Posted January 7, 2016 Author Posted January 7, 2016 I take it since 2.0 is still in Alpha we don't have any idea if it will be included or not? Sounds like not if that's the case.
Shmick Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 No official word whether it'd be considered a showstopper for getting the final 2.0 out the door, as far as I know. But it's definitely something they're conscious of (though I can't seem to find the recent-ish poll where it was asked what kind of priority users'd place on that feature)
BitMaster Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 wasnt there the option in autoexec.cfg to disable 3D-rendering so you could start it on any 2008R2 and later srv with embedded srv-gfx ??
