hi.

if I buy a 4K 40 inch TV screen to play Black shark 2 will I need to use Anti-Aliasing ?

because I read on the web that with a 28 inch 4K PC screen you don't need A-A because the PPI is so high.

right now I have a 22 inch PC screen ( resolution 1680 x 1050 ) and I need A-A to smooth the jagged edges.

I use a 28" UHD monitor and I find that I need 2x antialiasing in the flight sims (DCS, RoF and BoS). Otherwise it's possible to see minute jaggies. I'm sitting at a normal desktop distance.

For some games like shooters etc I disable AA in some cases as yes the resolution is very sharp. But with flights sims I like to use it at 2x.

PS I've heard that a 5K screen at 27" eliminates visible pixels so that's an example of how high res you'd probably need to really get rid of antialiasing.

It also depends on how close you are from the TV. The closer you are, the more obvious the aliasing is.

Also, don't forget to turn on game mode, or turn off any image processing done by the TV.
