gegone Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Hello Because I bought a new PC it has become necessary to reinstall DCS World on my new Machine. These two PCs are connected via a LAN Network and with the Internet. So far so good. I have two different Accounts(one with all Modules and a second with CA and FC3). On the second PC(this one was formerly the first PC)is the Problem with the Activation. I log in with my second Account and Install CA via Module Manager. When I restart DCS World 1.5 and log in comes the Message (Invalid Serial). But I am sure it is right.(Serial from my second DCS Account). Another Problem is with FC3.In Module Manager it is not listed as Install but to buy.CA is listed correctly (Install). Please Help me Greetings from Vienna CHRISTIAN
gegone Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 hi After several attempts, I note the Installer take the serial from my other Account. It may be that after a new installation in DCS World a Serial is in there? CHRISTIAN
NightMan Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Yes. They confirmed that to me. You can uninstall DCS and reinstall it again without deactivating and activating. Licenses linger. It’s like that by design.
hlfritz Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 you are probably better off to deactivate it first (if that will work for you in your situation). it may not if that serial number is now actually on the other machine though. otherwise you can delete if from the registry, some google searching will give you the instructions. do be very careful messing around in the registry!
gegone Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 Hi The solution is simple.I am deleting the both Mods(with invalid Serial)then reinstalling and Press CTL(Strg) and hold. Then the Registration Window pops up and et voilà it works.:pilotfly: Thanks to ALL CHRISTIAN
