stalhuth Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Since I have the 1.5 official (not the open beta) not only have crash but freeze my computer, I can not restart my PC with the standard ctr + alt + sup, I have to restart manual and that's could damage my system. I really don't know what's going on, this problem don't happen with 2.0 version. The game runs fine but after some minutes of playing BOOM the computer freeze and have to do the manual restart :( I repair the DCS but I don't know if will be better to reinstall the game. My PC specs: AMD Fx8 4.5ghz 16 RAM GTX 970 Monitor Acer XB270H G-sync Hotas warthog RYZEN 7 1800X 3.5ghz / 32 DDR4 RAM Crucial / Nvidia 2070 RTX EVGA / Samsung SSD 500 GB / Acer XB270H G-Sync / Trackir 5 / Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog / Oculus CV1
PiedDroit Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Since your system crashed you might have some info in the Windows Event Viewer. Crashes are usually caused by faulty drivers, too. If you can, reinstall DCS, I don't know if that will change anything but worth a try. Otherwise, your logs will be necessary for ED people to investigate. This post will help: OPEN BETA - How to report a bug (FAQ & Guide) In your case, this part DCS World logs: Logs can be found in the DCS folder in Saved Games in a folder called Logs. Please zip these and attach to your report postThe logs might contain some useful info. Edited January 17, 2016 by PiedDroit

PiedDroit Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) More logs Those are binaries, only ED can do something useful with it I'm afraid. There should also be some text files (dcs.log) in your Saved Games\DCS\Logs directory, they might contain useful stuff. Did yo check your windows event viewer after hard crash (not sure what to look for, you'll have to search)? This might help too: http://www.resplendence.com/whocrashed Edit: the .crash are text files actually, but nothing useful in there Edited January 20, 2016 by PiedDroit
