is not a good idea when your camera doesn't have a viewfinder!

In the first bit, I was walking backwards and fell against the hedge (hence the a*** over t** comment).

It's such a shame, it was a really epic view - especially the first few runs, which were even lower. The camera I have a viewfinder on has too small a zoom level to be of much use.

Wyberton, about 20-odd miles from RAF Coningsby.

We get the Typhoons a lot at low altitudes for obvious reasons, and Eagles and Tornadoes, and once a triplet of B-2's.

We also get a lot of stuff from Cranwell. Recently these exact manoeuvres have been performed by RAF King Air 200's (weapon officer training) which also looks and sounds great - reminiscent of 633 squadron clips!

Not as much as I used to get when I lived near Hobeach range, though.

Well sussed - by 'Hobeach' I meant Holbeach, of course.

Fosdyke was my home at the time.

Don't use so much zoom, it's better to have a wider angle, but with the plane actually in the frame. :D

Also, 52x is most likely a digital zoom which is useless, and you can get the same effect in postprocessing. Use only optical zoom, it's probably much less zoom but more usable, with much better image quality.

A good tripod wouldn't hurt. :D
