By error I've save a wrong POV and now I looking for the original POV of Mirage 2000C

Hello guys,

 

I need your help because by error I've save one new point of view of my Mirage 2000C and now everything is wrong.

I would find the original POV of my Mirage 2000C, please can you tell me where I can find the data or file ?

 

My DCS World is DCS World 1.5.2.49392.

 

Or please can you give me your original POV of the Mirage 2000C ?

Here all the key used by error:

 

"Num/ - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Back

"Num5" Cockpit Camera Move Center

"Num2 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Down

"Num* - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Forward

"Num8 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Up

"Num8" Turn Cockpit Camera Up

"Num2" Turn Cockpit Camera Down

"Num/" FOV- aka Zoom-in

"Num*" FOV+ aka Zoom-out

"NumEnter" Default FOV aka Zoom

 

Once you are satisfied , after using above key-commands,

just use following key-command to save this view as default:

 

"RAlt+Num0" Save current Cockpit view as default for this vehicle

Hi Skullleader,

If you accidentally saved a bad snap view, your custom views are saved in C:\Users\>YOUR USERNAME<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\.

 

They will be in the file SnapViews.LUA. You can just delete that file if you don't use any saved views for other aircraft or open it up and just delete the Mirage part.

 

Your stock game file with the default head views is not altered at all so you don't need a replacement because you still have it. That is located in your DCS World folder.

In first I would like to thank you for your fast answer, it's really cool and you save me...

 

If I well understand your explanation I must edit my file SnapViews.LUA and just delete all the lines concerning the Mirage 2000C, correct ?

 

I can't delete the file SnapViews.LUA because all the POV for my all modules are seved.

 

Also if I well understand I can saved accidentally any POV because the original settings are here: C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C and the file is "Views.lua" ?

 

In fact each time that I save one new POV these settings are saving here: C:\Users\>YOUR USERNAME<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\ and the file is "SnapViews.lua", it's correct ?

 

 

For finish there's few mintes I deleted all the lines concerning the Mirage 2000C from SnapViews.LUA and after enter into my M2K and saved my new POV these new settings are saved now in my SnapViews.LUA , good ?

You are correct. Every time you save custom views they will be saved in your C:\Users\>YOUR USERNAME<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapViews.lua and DCS will look at that file before it looks at it's own stock file.

 

ED just had the foresight to create a default one for us in case the edited one screws up our game.

 

So in the future if you accidentally save a bad view you can just open it up and edit out the aircraft then do it again.
