cliffat65 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 hello everyone i would like some advice on installing lock on gold please. i have been flying lock on 1.02 for a while now and tomorrow i get the gold version with flaming cliffs.i am going to reformat my pc so it will be all nice and clean to install lock on gold.what i would like to know is what is the install sequance i.e. do i install lock on patch it to 1.02 then install flaming cliffs and patch to 1.112a? thanks in advance cliff
S77th-konkussion Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Yes. Install the CD's in that order & apply 1.12a. You might want to look at items a,b,& c too. Be careful to download the correct 1.12a patch. Make backups of things you want to keep (logbook, skins) b. Completely remove the game, including the leftover folder in window's explorer c. Clean, scan, and defrag your hard drive. SuperKungFu Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Be aware that some of the lock on gold cds may still be corrupted, it was a while ago- I'm not sure if they fixed it yet. If you haven't bought it yet, i would recommend just buying FC alone since you already have the original. Buy the FC cd from natural point. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
